1月1日に発生しました令和6年能登半島地震で被災いたしました。
今日で27日が過ぎました。
これまでに多くの方々にご心配のメッセージ、日本橋三越店をはじめ、お取引先様でのご購入、WEBサイトでのご購入、
義援金ご支援をいただきまして誠にありがとうございます。
職人さん、スタッフさん、家族みんな無事でした。
自宅は傾き全壊、元木工所・店舗、直近は長男の工房、本町家屋は全焼。市内の2ヶ所の倉庫は建物は建ってはいますが、危険の赤紙が貼られており、中はぐっちゃぐちゃのままとなっております。
3年半前に移転した輪島工房、1年半前に新設した漆のスタジオ・本店は中に入ることができる状態ですが、木工工房は木工機械が横滑りしてこれから時間をかけての整備が必要。
市内の木工機械事業者さんは仕事継続意思がありましてこれから直していきます。
漆塗工房は大きな湿め風呂が横滑りしたり、道具、一部の漆などは散乱しています。
木地、下地途中のものは倒れてはいますが、現在確認作業を続けています。
職人さん、スタッフさんは全て被災しています。
各ご自宅は相当な被害が出ており（全焼、全壊）、市内避難所をはじめ県内、県外に避難しております。来週はじめにみなさんが工房に集まってくれます。
みなさんのお話を聞きながら、これからの方向性を徐々に見ていきたいと思います。

WEBサイトは1月2日に一旦閉鎖しましたが、1月3日から在庫室などの整理作業を始め、
なんとか出荷できる物があるという報告をしたところ、東京スタッフ、サポートをしていただいているデザイナーの方から背中を押してもらいまして7日から再開しております。
多くのお客様から応援いただいております。
ほんとにありがとうございます。
先週金曜日から日曜日にかけて家族が傷がなかった在庫室の在庫数を確認してくれたり、サポートいただいているデザイナーさんは衛星通信機器にて通信環境を整備してくれました。
パソコンでの作業がスムーズになりました。
こらから少しずつ少しずつ配送作業に移ります。
ただ、輪島市内では、宅配事業者の集荷は再開しておらず、七尾市という所までいかないといけません。
現在、車で約2時間はかかりる道路事情です。
お客様への手元に商品が届くにはまだまだ時間がかかります。
たいへん申し訳ございません。
義援金ご支援は、全国の伝統工芸分野の友人のみなさま、長くサポートしていただいているデザイナーさんが職人さん、スタッフさんのお給料支払い、協力工房職人さんへのお支払い、これからの工房建て直しに活かしてもらいたいとSNSにて投稿していただきました。私もリポストさせていただきました。
職人さんへの今後の保障、輪島工房内の木工機械の修理と漆塗工房の整備、倉庫修理と気が遠くなるような膨大な内部整理、木材料の確保、漆関連材料などの購入、協力工房さんへのお支払いなどに活かさせていただきます。
最近は、毎朝、生活水をいただきにお向かいの消防署へいったり、妻と一緒にゴミを捨てたり、いただきました支援物資の空段ボールを
業者さんに納めにいったり、全壊の自宅、まだ手つかずの倉庫の状況を少しずつ確認したり、、、、
先週の金曜日に18日振りに電気がきましたので、パソコンを充電しました。
また、2日前にはNTTの工事担当者さんがきて光ケーブルも復活して電話、通信も可能となりました。
メディアの方々からの取材にも応えさせていただいております。
あとは、水です。
街中を移動していますと、県外からの水道工事事業者様も来られていて、工事があちこちで始まっています。
一日でも早く水道が回復してほしいものです。
先日、時短営業している街中のスーパーで複数の漆器業界の方とお会いしました。
ある椀木地師さんはやる気満々！
一日に1時間と決めてやんわりと仕事を始めている。
おれは今燃えているんや！と大きな声で・・・
他の椀木地師さんも荒型を片付けたら作業は開始できると。
ある下地職人さんは、もう暇になってきたから、下地を始めようかなとも、、、、
私が接している職人さんは辞めると言っていません。
これからもっと正確な情報をまとめなければいけません。
しっかりと「輪島のやる気」を発信しなければいけないと感じるのです。
これからはできるだけ正確で前向きな情報を伝えたいと思っています。
とにかく今は体調を崩すことなく過ごすことが大切だと思っていますので、早く寝て、早く起きて、避難生活の中でのペースを保つことに集中しています。

All craftsmen, staff members, and my family members were safe.
However, my house was completely destroyed, the former woodworkshop and store where most recently the workshop of my eldest son, was burned to the ground. Our two warehouses in the city are still standing, but they have red stickers warning them of the danger, and their interiors are still a mess.

The workshop of Wajima Kirimoto, which was relocated three and a half years ago, and the Urushi Studio and head office, which were newly built a year and a half ago, are ready to be entered, but the woodworking studio needs more time for maintenance as the woodworking machinery has been skidding.
The woodworking machinery business in the city is willing to continue working and will be repaired from now on.
In the Urushi lacquer workshop, a large store room for hardening urushi lacqureware has slipped and fallen over, and tools and some Urushi lacquer are scattered around.
Wooden materials and items in the process of being primed have fallen over, but we are continuing to check on them.
All of our craftsmen and staff have been affected by the disaster.
Each of their homes has sustained considerable damage (burned down or destroyed), and they have been evacuated to shelters in the city, as well as in and out of the prefecture.
Everyone will gather at the workshop at the beginning of next week.
We will listen to what everyone's thought and gradually see where we go from here.
The official web store was temporarily closed on the 2nd of January, however on the 3rd of January, we began organizing the inventory room and other facilities, we reported that we had some items that could be shipped, and the staffmembers in Tokyo and designers who support us gave us a push to reopen the site on the 7th of January.
We have been able to resume operations on the 7th of January with the support of staffmembers in Tokyo and designers who are supporting us.

Last Friday we had electricity for the first time in 18 days, so we recharged our computers.
Also, two days ago, the NTT installers came and restored the fiber optic cable, so we are now able to make phone calls and communicate with each other.
We are also responding to interviews from the media.
Then there is the shortage of water.
As we move around town, water service providers from outside the prefecture have arrived and construction has begun here and there.

I recently met with several urushi lacquerware industry people at a supermarket in town that is open short hours.
A bowl woodworker is very motivated!
He has decided to work one hour a day and is starting work softly.
"I'm really ardent about my job.," he said loudly! and in a loud voice...Other woodcore artisan also said he could start work once the rough wooden core of bowls were done.
One base coat painting craftsman said that he has no more time to do anything else, so he might as well start base painting...
The craftsmen I have been in contact with have not said they are quitting.
I feel that I must firmly transmit "Wajima's motivation" to the public.

Anyway, I think it is important for me to stay in good physical condition for now,
I am concentrating on going to bed early, getting up early, and keeping up the pace in my evacuation life.
