滑りにくく、タフな箸

漆との相性が良い輪島の地元材であるヒノキアスナロを使用し、マットで落ち着いた質感に仕上げた「蒔地小判箸」。
下地を施した後、表面に近い部分でもう一度「輪島地の粉」を使用し、漆を塗り重ねて仕上げています。
断面が小判型の箸はとても珍しい形です。長辺の部分が指の間に安定するので、たいへん持ちやすくしっくりと手に馴染みます。
ヒノキアスナロ特有の軽さ、さらに滑りにくく傷つきにくいのが特徴です。
毎日の食事を上質な時間にしてくれます。

MAKIJI OBLONG CHOPSTICKS – Black / Akakuchi-shu, Reddish Vermilion

Non-slip, durable chopsticks

The Makiji Oblong Chopsticks are crafted from locally sourced Wajima wood, Thujopsis dolabrata, prized for its exceptional compatibility with Urushi lacquer. They are finished with a refined matte texture that gives them a subtle, understated elegance.
Each pair is carefully prepared by skilled craftsmen. After the wood is shaped and a base coat is applied, a layer of Wajima jinoko—roasted, crushed, and sifted diatomaceous earth—is added, a traditional technique unique to Wajima lacquerware.
The oblong shape of these chopsticks is quite rare. The upper section rests naturally between the fingers, making them exceptionally easy to hold and comfortable to use.
Slightly thick with a softly rounded square profile, they are characterized by the distinctive lightness of Thujopsis dolabrata. The surface is also slip-resistant and highly durable.
These chopsticks bring a quiet sense of refinement to the table, turning every meal into a special occasion.
